One of my favorite things about blogging is "meeting" other stampers -- even if it is just on line.
A few weeks ago Sue Berker from Berkerblog (one of my faves) sent me an email asking me if I'd like to participate in some challenges. Sue decided to name these challenges "Carte - licious". For our first challenge Sue, Melissa, Rose Ann, and I would each make a card using Anna Wight's Portrait of a Snowman by Whippersnapper. I usually run away from challenges, but this one was too good to pass up!
Sue sent me multiple images of this guy along with some other goodies and a very cute little card. Of course everyone else posted their cards a while ago, but I finally got inspiration and time at the same time! So here's my version.
The background papers are from Memory Box's Beach collection. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol and shaded him a bit with a Warm Gray Copic marker.
I adhered the patterned papers to a sheet of typing paper so that I could wrap the papers with the lime and light blue polka dot ribbons and hide the back part of the ribbons. I then adhered the whole thing onto a white card.
The card is 3 and 3/8" x 6". Sentiment is from Gina K Designs Got Snow stamp set.
Here are the cards my fellow challengers made: Rose Ann, Sue, and Melissa. Aren't they fabulous?
ps. I promise I'll do my next challenge a little more quickly!
