Day 2 -- check out my card at JustRite's Blog! (Thanks for the comments so far, it made me feel so much better about doing this!)
I keep thinking about being a Guest Blogger. The words themselves. My husband is a runner -- he ran a half marathon on Labor Day and came in 31 out of 250! And 3rd in his geezer 50s class! I guess he is a Best Jogger!!! (crawling back out of cyber space.......)
Answers to some questions:
1. JustRite makes 2 kinds of stampers -- a self inking and non self
inking. Here is the self inking one. The non non self inking ones are called Classic Wood Stampers and you can see them here. I did not use the self inking one at all for my week of
blogging, although I used it to make some cards for myself that I
haven't posted yet. The self inking one has an ink pad that is
removable. It comes with black ink built in and that is how I used
it, but the idea is that you would have an image that is all one color (unless you used something to wipe off part of the ink and then used a marker.)
The Classic Wood Stampers only came in round when I was guest blogging, but JustRite is about to release a rectangle one. It is most definitely on my list of must haves. You can use markers or an ink pad to ink the Classic Wood Stampers. If you use
markers or small ink pads and are careful, your border can be a different color than the center
letters. Another FYI: I used pigment ink on my Day One Bracelet. Pigment ink is pretty creamy. The round
JustRite stamp (classic round stamper) got full of ink where there wasn't supposed to be ink,
but it inked cleanly -- no smudging. I was impressed!
2. I got a few emails asking me about turning down a company and
what that was all about. No, it was not when I left Gina K.'s
quarterly design team late last year. I had to do that because the
deadlines were coming up and my Mom was in crisis after crisis. I felt awful leaving on a moment's notice. I LOVE
Gina K and her products, own a ton of them, and plan to rejoin as a
guest designer sometime next year (at Gina's invitation). The company
I turned down wanted me to use stamps that were too risque for my
taste. Not "ex" rated, but not in my comfort zone.
I have more stamping news to talk about but I'll do a separate post for that one!
