First, the card. A co-worker asked me to make a card for a bridal shower and specifically asked that the card include a red dress. (The maid of honor will be wearing a red dress.) I have always loved this Stampin Up Blooming With Happiness Hostess set and never used it. While I love the stamps, I find them hard to incorporate into a card.
Nevertheless, I hope I pulled it off. I used the Dots and Daiseys Background from SU, and Stampin Up's Real Red and Pretty in Pink cardstocks and markers. I found this pink satin ribbon at the Offray Ribbon outlet and got these cute adhesive pearls from Ellen Hutson's store. The white cardstock is a shimmery white, similar to SU's but not quite as nice!

Ok, the Bit of a Miracle
About 5 weeks ago my Mom fell and spent a few days in the hospital. Her blood work indicated that her kidney function had dropped to a Level 4 (Level 5 is dialysis, death or a transplant). This wasn't all that surprising as her kidney function has been worsening for about a year. Two weeks ago she had more blood work -- and her kidney function is normal. There is no medical explanation. I'm anxious to see today's blood test results.
Oh, and other Bit of a Miracle. My husband and I went out for dinner and my son stayed home and cooked for himself (a bit of a miracle right there!). When we came home, he had washed the pots and pans WITHOUT BEING ASKED. I swear there is something in the air around here!
