Card Construction Details:
1. Trimmed kraft cardstock.
2. Cut strips of Sassafras Count Me In paper, glued on a square of scrap cardstock. Set aside.
3. Punched circle on card.
4. Stamped cupcake from Hero Arts Wonderful Birthday three times on different patterned papers from the same set in Versamark. Embossed in white, cut out as shown.
5. Adhered cupcake with dimensional. Stamped strip of paper with Versamark, and embossed in white. LOVE this huge birthday sentiment.
6. Die cut a scallop of the yellow floral paper and ended up using the leftover piece -- put underneath the strip as shown in attempt to look like either a candle tip or a circus tent (????). Not sure about this move but done is done.
8. Added lines with white gel pen.
9. Went back and added stickles glitter to frosting on cupcake. Yum. Added some unecessary marks with Copics on cupcake.
10. Rounded corners and adhered to A2 white card.
Mood When Done = Wishing it was my birthday so I could get free stamping stuff from relatives...

This is a great card! I love the idea of embossing in white on patterned paper.....have to try that.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Just the inspiration I needed for a card I have been struggling to complete for my nephew's girlfriend's birthday. Everything I have thought of I have talked myself out of (not knowing her humour/likes/dislikes) but who can't like a cupcake! :D

Wonderful and fun. Love the white embossing and the little strips add visual interest on the side.

Love the card! Would have never thought to use that color combination, so it is going into a note to use on a future card! Love how it turned out... and the yellow strip to make it look like candle tips was pure genius!

Love your card Joan...glad I've ordered the 'Frame It' from Claire - thanks for suggesting that set.....looking forward to the little cup cake stamp that comes with it.
Wish I had the energy to join in the waltz but came home from holiday with an awful cold, head spinning etc...sinus infected and couldn't get myself together to make a card at all....but I'll enjoy the waltz anyhow. Next time hope I'm organised.
