I love this color combo -- PTI's Sweet Blush and White with a touch of dark brown. Plus, the card is quick to make.
I am trying to use some neglected stamps and I remembered this swirly flower, made up of heart like petals! It is from Waltzingmouse Say It With Style. It is darling. But I wasn't in mood for coloring and just as I was falling asleep came up with this idea and you will see more of this type of card in the near future.
Card Construction Details:
1. Stamp flower repeatedly with Versamark on bottom of A2 card made from PTI Sweet Blush cardstock. Stamped two layers above the 3 on the bottom, but most got covered up with the white layer. Embossed with white embossing powder and nifty quiet Ranger Heat It gun.
2. Cut piece of white cardstock. Stamp same flower with PTI Sweet Blush ink. I have the "new" formulation, which requires time to dry. I don't like the drying time, but coverage is sooo much better in light shades that it is worth it. Set aside. Shoveled snow for 6 hours.
3. Ok, one of the sentences in paragraph 2 is a lie.
4. Looked for sentiment that would fit with my card. The sentiments in Say It With Style work, but weren't big enough for this layout. Plucked this one from a Technique Tuesday set and stamped with Memento Brown ink. Corner chomped white layer.
5. Colored twine with Copic and threaded through button and adhered with glue dot.
Mood When Done = Exhausted from watching Mike shovel...**
** ok, I helped. I bought the snow blower! I shoveled on and off for a while and spent an hour battling the ginormous pile of snow on our cars. Unbelievable.
